Last nights Travis count...20 crappie and 17 white bass. Most of the crappie were caught on jigs. Shad moved in after dark. It was a nice nite to be on Travis.

May go to Buch Sunday.

Fished all day Saturday with a friend's boat - Chief managed 2 LMB, 1 Crappie, 1 Carp, and 1 monster sunfish... it was pretty slow during the day. Went back out around 2am and found lots of Crappie and Whites (caught maybe 50 total fish - didn't keep count and Chief took all the fish). Seems like the night time is the right time on Travis right now.

Sorry that my phone died Sat night, FF40. We didn't go as far upriver as you were because we found some fish closer to us. Hopefully, we can fish off your dock some other time.

Hey KillerB, were you up the Pedernalas? I have not fished Travis since the lake has come up. Is the water still muddy? Any info would be appreciated!!!

Didn't go up the Pedernales but did fish downstream and upstream of it on the Colorado. I wouldn't say it's muddy, but it has a good green brown tint (more brown where the rivers meet).

Rimme, no shad. Havent tried though. Glass minnows have found themselves at home on the shore lines, and I was finding shad about a month ago as they seemed to be everywhere near the banks. Last Thursday I found some pods in open water that were on the surface, just didnt have my cast net on me at the time. The magnums were under them and being fooled by the good ole smoke grub. Been doing alot of trolling lately, with decent results. The stripers need to hurry up and get to legal limit, but they already hit like mini freight trains.

Havent got out there at night yet, not sure what im waiting on..

Just got home about an hour ago...Fished 12a.m. till 7.a.m. on a private dock off of Hudson Bend Road...Limit of whites (12"-16") , 5 black bass up to 3lbs. and about a 3 lb. Blue Cat...All caught on shad and 3"-4" spot-tail bull minnows...Right at daybreak there were hundreds of shad running about 2'-4' deep along the north side of the dock...And this dock is over 100 ft long...And yes you could see 4'-5' deep from the surface...Oh yeah, forgot to mention I caught 4 throwback stipers (15"-17")...Most fish were caught about 10'-14' deep in about 20'-25' deep water...

Just a grub, most soft plastic companies make them.
Zoom plastics

smoke is the color.
Ive also been using the twin tail variety as well.
Twin Tail

trolling them as a teaser infront of bandit crank baits.

IE.
