My son and I only been to fork a few times for small tourneys, I know it's a big lake and bass are every where, but where do y'all prefer to fish on the north end or south to east end, we usually launch at lake Fork marine. Any advice would be appreciated.

I like fishing the West side of the lake, due to more creek arms. You can restrict yourself to below the 515 bridge to the damn on the west side and have a dozen choices of any pattern you want to run.

I would agree with groupie in general, I do like to fish Birch Creek on occasion as well.

It kind of depends on what what pattern you want to try to target. I think most of the fish on the southern third of the lake have not spawned yet. I would bet only 30-40% have actually done their thing at this point.
Williams, Dale, Chaney, Alligator, Schoolhouse, & all around the mouth of Little Caney.
Stay out on the main lake secondary points and fish SLOWLY.

Mr. Slickjig69, This may be a little late for your trip but for what it's worth to you, there is a spot in Dale Creek and on the east side of Big Tank Cove that is usually productive at this time of year. Here is a historical tip that might help you decide about where to go on Fork. "Something that happens the third week in March is that you can come over here on the south west side of this island (location #21) and the fish will be on the beds here. And some of the bigger fish you will see around Lake Fork in Dale Creek, will be right in this area" David Kelly. Timing: The spawn March 24 What to Do:Throw a Texas Rigged hot pink or bubble gum lizard, or a white lizard with Spike It yellow Dip and Glo tail. You will find a tree/fence line that runs from north to south in this location. When you find this, it will be the area just east of this fence line that holds the good beds. You can usually count on fish to spawn around March 15th on Fork. In this area they will usually spawn around March 24th. GPS Coordinate* (some people use the old format so I included both below) dmdecimal N32D 49.660 & W95D 35.802 WEST ISLAND BEDDING AREA dmsdecimal N32D 49 39.620" & W95D 35 48.120" WEST ISLAND BEDDING AREA dmdecimal N32D 49' 39.620" W95D 35' 49.32" FENCE LINE dmsdecimal N32D 49.660' W95D 35.822" FENCE LINE *Note: These are approximate locations and have not yet been field verified. The Datum used was NAD 27. Lake Fork Unplugged I hope this helps, Jimmy Martin

Just got back from 3 days. Clearest water was mid lake down to the dam. Warmest was in the west arm and north. Bite was tough, but caught them on spinnerbaits. chatterbaits and spilt shot flukes 4-5 feet.
