My hats off to them as well. How you find 32 pounds out there right now is beyond me.

based on the TPWD's lake "limit" per person ....... if every fisherman took the limit out it would be way more than what these 2 guys could take out by themselves,,,,, so I don't know if 2 guys taking more than their fair share will really do any damage to the fish population.
do you realize how long "tournament" fishermen have been complaining about the Louisiana "meat eaters" and the number of fish they have been taking from Toledo bend for years and years. Doesn't seem to have hurt that lakes fish population.
....just saying .....

You do realize these guys are breaking the law if they have more than 2x the daily bag limit... right? People like this need to be caught and ticketed. There is a reason we have limits, even if people are trying to FISH for food.

Yes, I do realize that.
"if they have more than 2X the daily bag limit" ....and you see them with more than 2X the limit for the number of fishermen there are .. .... correct.
BUT.... the number of guys fishing was never mentioned.....in the original post
you JUMPED to a conclusion and stated ..... "not sure how many guys there are" ....... "you should probably call the game warden".

just because some fisherman shot off his mouth and claimed they fileted 10 bass you think the game warden needs to be called & you blame the shape of the lake on them........ really / C'mon Man.

Theres limited information, of course I assumed... Yes, if enough people over harvest a fishery, fishing will suffer. The game warden I talked to about this time of year ten years ago suggested that we call if we thought folks were over-harvesting because it is hard to enforce without some help. I dont see where the disconnect is.

I assure you hot shot, that I only mentioned they filleted ten a day because they told me they did. They were still at it yesterday. We were only there a few days but if what they said was true they were up to about 90
Filleted bass if what they said was true.

If they were from Louisiana you'd be lucky if it's only 90

Wondered what the limits were in Mexico with gill nets. With that said, the fish were small, but it fished better than any lake I have been on in a long time. Getting a big bite was tough, but we caught 40 fish a day. Find the grass, there is plenty of it. If that lake can hold its level and go up some, it will be Amistad of old in few years. This was my first time fishing it, and it was amazing and beautiful at the same time
