I bought this rod from a guy on ebay.
He said he would fish with this rod 100% without hesitation. The ceramic insert is chipped badly in a few places, the bottom quarter has got a huge chunk out of it and the upper right side has a crack all the way around and is missing ceramic there too. Sorry for the bad pictures. What do you guys think? Would you fish this rod? I believe the guy knew the tip was this bad and sold it on ebay because he couldn't sell it face to face.

Not without Kevin Smith doing a little job on it.

I would fish it after a 5 minute tip repair. Hope you came out on the winning side money wise even after tip repair.

Take a Q-tip and run it around the guide. If it snags the cotton it will snag your line...that one will definitely snag your line in my opinion.

Academy has replacement, heat the tip up slightly and slide off the old one. Heat the glue and put on a replacement. Takes 5 min

Is this a joke? I replace tips in the boat. You can order a replacement tip for 2-3$ and replace it in a few seconds

I think he's upset because he kinda got taken!

My answer? No I wouldn't fish that stick.....

Remedy? Contact seller and light him up.....then go buy the correct top from MudHole. ....or even upgrade to a Torzite tip and make it better then ever. .
