Went fishing today, she ran well. Was heading to the ramp and all I could get was 48mph. All of the sudden the motor just died like you pulled the kill switch. Wouldn't start back up just would turn over. Any ideas of what could have happen? No crunch or bang just went dead. This is the first problem I have had with this motor!

I had one like that and turned out it was the ring busted loose on a piston. Hope you have better luck!

.... we got one of those ,,,, same year model ,,,, doing the same thing. Been in the shop for 2 months. Yamaha Master techs can't figure it out Yamaha Factory rep can't figure it out Yamaha Factory won't get involved due to the age of the motor. Cylinders are all good -- no issue there ????????????
