This is some footage of the brutal cold and wind on ray Roberts last weekend at bass champs. It was 32 blowing 20 feeling like 24. We managed 3 fish for 11.86lbs 33rd place out of 212 teams. Made it out safe and good finish, we happy.

Been there a few times when the main lake was much worse than that. 2 of the times I was lucky the Pilot Point FD came down to Jordan to help people trailer up after an unexpected front moved in. That lake can get brutal.

The few times running from different coves. We didnt see one single boat running the water. One guy about dropped his jaw out of the boat when we told him we ran across that lol. If you take your time and dont panic rough water can be handled. Just be prepared to get a little wet

Yeah, we were doing fine running up to Lick from Johnson, ran across to Sand, ok... rough, but no damage. Came off plane in more lake than I wanted and top sides the back of a wave. Wasnt wearing rain gear. Ugh!

Got to area we were going to fish, and couldnt hit the back side of the wind I wanted. Fished in the bay some, decided to head back to Johnson to warm up. Thats when things got a litttle wonky. Graph came out of mount, so I dropped off and tried to stay into the wind without swamping while partner tried to get fingers to have feeling enough to take the graph down to finish our run.

Didnt put it on plane going back, just plowed high water to stay dry. Changed clothes and finished the day in johnson.

Finally caught a fish back in there with 2 hours to go. Only got one more bite (13 spot). So we dumped two fish instead of weighing the 1.5 lbs.
