Thanks to everybody for the info and opinions! I've got an email in to ACK right now, out of curiosity, to see why the 1 to 2 week wait time before it ships. Just curious if they ran out of inventory because people are buying them up, or if they don't keep them in stock and have to order them. I'm not joking... This wait is going to be the death of me. I've found that kayak manufactures aren't good at shipping when they say and some are terrible at not protecting the kayaks and using poor shipping companies. A good kayak dealer will refuse the damaged shipment and wait for better ones to come in. This being such a new boat, company, and a high demand I'm sure isn't helping either. Are you close to DFW? Call Mariner Sails. Last I heard they had plenty in stock.

Hopefully I won't end up taking a swim. The water is still a little bit too chilly for me.

How is the stability? I hear it's super stable. We Aggies need all the help we can get lol.

Haha! Its very stable...Im not sure if youve read about the primary and secondary stability. The primary stability is loose, so it may feel like youre going to flip over but the secondary stability catches you. Ive leaned over to the side and I still feel very safe.

I have. It's an interesting concept, but I can see how it works. Really looking forward to that shipping conformation email. I'm making arrangements right now to get a PFD, paddle, and fish finder on amazon. NRS Chinook, Bending Branches Angler Ace, and either the Helix 5 Chirp SI or go cheaper for the DI.

I purchased mine from Anglers Pro Tackle in North Richland Hills. Had to go through the same arrangements of having to piece together the accessories. I bought the NRS Chinook, was looking at the same paddle but ended up purchasing the Aqua Bound Manta Ray Hybrid, which is considerably cheaper with almost the same exact specs. I plan on adding a fish finder soon, but itll most likely be the Garmin Striker 4. Still debating on where to put it.

I was surprised to find out that Aqua Bound and Bending Branches are the same company. Maybe everyone else knows this, but I didn't until recently. He said that the AB paddles were more for regular kayaks and the BB models were designed for sit-on-top fishing kayak models. I should have asked more questions, but I was moving toward the latest greatest kayaks and didn't spend much time there. He did tell me about the Seattle Sports SeaWall paddle drip rings. I just received those in the mail today and haven't used them yet, but look forward to a drier paddling experience.

I ended up going with the Bending Branched Angler Ace. It has Bending Branches stickers on it but it has Aqua Bound in tiny raised black letters on the paddle itself lol.
