I fished slow enough with a senko that boats were having to leave or go around me. HAhahaha, that made my day. Ain't gonna cut you off cause you ain't moving. Good on you. They aren't catching fish and I bet you are. Think I'll be like you next time I'm out there.

Could not buy a bite on soft plastics fished slow, fast, in between etc. Finally started getting bit on a squarebill crankbait. Slot fish liked it today.
Fished till 5:00PM then loaded up and headed to Holbrook. Caught a nice one pitching a Texas rig up shallow then finished the day getting some frog bites. They inhaled the frog when they hit it too.

I fished slow enough with a senko that boats were having to leave or go around me. Then it comes down to that "X" factor.......location! That can be another big key. Shoot me a PM next time you're going out there, Ill see if I cant get you on a better bite, and some coves or creeks to go try.

I may take you up on that. I fished slow enough with a senko that boats were having to leave or go around me. Then it comes down to that "X" factor.......location! That can be another big key. Threw everything we had at them last weekend Thursday - Sunday. Caught every fish but 1 on weightless chartreuse pepper hyper stick.
My son threw spinnerbaits and chatterbaits all 4 days and never caught a fish.
We fished grass, points, out deep, etc. Everyfish came off of timber in 3-5'.
Was so windy we tried the same stick baits carolina rigged and texas rigged and couldn't buy a bite.
Pretty sure most of the bites were detected by seeing line move. They did hold on to those hyper sticks though.

I was out there today. My bites came off a 3xd chili craw color. On main lake points and in drains. Also in the shallow before it got to wind to see the bite I was getting on natural shad senko with the tail dipped. 8 keepers and 4 slot fish. Biggest around 5lbs.

21 hours on the water total - 10 fish - threw the kitchen sink at them! Spinner-baits and weightless flukes were the only things we got hit on. We gave them our best shot and can't wait to do it again!

Heading out to Fork on Sunday. Haven't been in over a year.... family stuff....
Forecast looks better but i'm worried this cold front will make em' shut down. Oh well, I'll be sleepless with excitement tonight either way!

Wind will be harsh out there tomorrow. It sure was and the thunder storm out of no nowhere didn't help. Good thing I took my rain gear.
