Group of about 10 of us are headed to Big Sam this weekend for a Men's Campout we take every year. Any fishing report would be greatly appreciated!!!!

You may be hitting it about right. I fished there for four days about 10-12 days ago and catching was easy but the big girls hadn't moved up, at least where we were. We were catching 40-60 each day on about any bait you want to use. Be sure and take some 1-1 1/4 bullet weights in case you want to punch through the hay grass. The fishing should be good.

More than anything, keep an eye on water levels. Approaching 3 feet now when it was almost back at pool this time last week.
Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

I caught one over 5 that was full of eggs. I caught one that was clearly a "bigger fish" but was spawned out in the same tournament. Agreed watch the water level.... lots of fish will be on the old water level imo
any spring time bait will get you bites(senko, blades, top water, jig...). caught them from 6" to 10' the last few weeks. Good luck
