I had one similar to daddystog. It was dark getting back to a wooden courtesy dock and as I stepped over to the dock I missed everything (blame it on Shiner). One foot in the water and the other still on the front deck. Caught myself under the arm pit on the dock just in time for the the momentum of the boat to crush my ribs between the boat and the dock. My brother and friend helped me out after about 15 minutes laughing. That was day one of a three day trip, still caught fish but I was moaming and groaning for several weeks.

I selected that I've fallen out once, but I've actually fallen out twice.

First time was in Louisiana. On trolling motor, hit a stump, and went off the front of the boat. Halfway jumped because I knew I wasn't going to stop myself.

Second time was at Amistad. I slipped off the side of the boat as I was trying to get out. Fractured elbow, busted up chin, and cartilage damage in my wrists. Camera got stolen that trip with all my kids Christmas pictures, so falling out of the boat probably saved my life and my wife felt a little sorry for me when I walked through the door with a busted up chin, bloody shirt, and a fractured elbow.

Once, but years ago when I hit a stump with troll motor at high speed. I have a new ultrex now and although I have not gone out yet, I can see where one could get "bucked" with the spot lock on while its re-adjusting, especially just after you hit spot lock (first 30 sec's or so) and the motor is trying to get back to the marked spot.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

These are awesome! This raises another question. How many have fallen out of their boat with the ultrex running on cruise control...then looking up to see the boat heading off into the sunset? I never kept my old motor on constant due to the torque(unless at very low speeds), but the ultrex can cruise on 10 all day long while maintaining the course heading. Use this feature all the time to get from one place to the next.

Monticello in a 35 MPH wind while pulling the anchor out I was using to slow my drift. Also kicked over two crucial/curado rigs.
Delaware River floating a rapids in my tin boat, when I hit a rock and went over the front.
Out of my canoe in 34 degree water in a pond that is just chuck full of big bass twice. Once was the dogs fault.

Ever since always wear my inflatables all the time when fishing.

I have 3 different stories to tell. First one, my fishing partner and I found a empty boat floating on Hubbard Creek one day during a club tournament. We knew the guy that owned the boat so we started looking and yelling his name. It didn't take long before we heard him holler back so we went to where we heard him and sure enough him and his partner were floating out from the bank maybe 25 yards. Turns out they had gone up to the bank to retrieve a lure and had disturbed a hornets nest. They figured if they jumped in the water the hornets would leave them alone, they just didn't plan on the boat getting away from them. If this tells you anything about the pair , their nicknames were "Porkchop" and "Dancing Bear"
The 2nd was the first time I had my new Skeeter out and we were fishing Lost Creek at Hubbard Creek. We were going to bump a tree and my partner decided to push us away. Well I heard a splash and when I turned a round he was climbing back in the boat. I swear he went in and got back out so quick his billfold didn't even get wet. Well we heard another splash and looked around and a guy fishing out of a tube that neither of us had even seen was laughing so hard he had turned his tube over. We had to help him get back upright or he might have drowned.

I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle

Sat my rod down to help one of the kids unhook a fish. All of a sudden I see my rod shoot across the boat. When I jumped and reached for it the front of the boat tipped and flipped me into the water. I did manage to keep hold of the rod. The funny part was that we were in ND and it was in still cold outside. Everything I had was soaking wet. I ended up squeezing into an extra sweetshirt my wife had to have some dry clothes on. I'm and XL guy and she is a small.

I've been in Fork 3 times. EVERY SINGLE TIME it was Feb or March and the wind was blowing 30 mph!!

Why is it you never fall in the water when it is 98 degrees outside?? realmad

Why? The same reason the bread always lands on the floor "jelly down".
