I have been using Seaguar Invizx fishing line for a number of years and have been incredibly satisfied with its performance. Having said that, a few years ago I purchased a bulk spool off Ebay. It was horrible. I wouldn't bet my life on it but I felt like it was a counterfeit. I did notice that it was not as I will desribe it "mechanically" wound like all the other spools that I had gotten. I just received a new 1000 yd spool sold by Amazon and it is wound the same way. I am concerned. Flourocarbon is so darn expensive, I love getting a good price but sure don't want to be purchasing a fradulent product. Anyone have any credible information regarding this type of thing? I had hoped that Amazon might be more reliable!
Thanks!

I had bad luck with some stuff I got off of ebay also. I broke several times on hook set, took it all off and started over.

Well that is good to know that bulk spools no longer have "level winding". However, I still have some concerns about counerfeit line in general. Thanks! http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/12667550/Re:_invizx_fishing_line#Post12667550

Drop a note, an email, to the company and ask them if they are aware of any counterfeiting of their lines.
I know it is being done in other areas and EBay is a common avenue for delivery. I believe it all started with wristwatches and has devolved from there.

Its out there, seen some seaguar red label, I wonder if some of it didn't make it into walmart because they had some red label that was level winded and some that was not...

With just about anything I order on Amazon, I get an email from the seller within a few days asking for feed back. That may be an opportunity to discuss your concerns with them.

Yea, I saw a couple of videos like that. Never sure how to process some of what I find/see on the internet.

I did earlier today. I wonder if they will respond. Drop a note, an email, to the company and ask them if they are aware of any counterfeiting of their lines.
