My friend was walking around the lake and found a square bill crank bait and gave it to me it was just laying on the ground it was covered in sand but I cleaned it up a bit and here's what it looks like now and I also changed the hook s as well

Looks like a Strike King KVD 1.5 with hooks changed out. Great baits.

Wouldn't it be fun to run a metal detector across the bottom of a dry fishing lake bed?

Should have seen all the lures that floated up after 911 when Squaw Creek was closed.

If I'm in the area, it could be on the bank, in a tree, on the roof of a dock. You never know where it's going...

Last year on Lewisille, My line snapped and my whopper plopper 90 flew at least 100 yards on the shore. I did not go after it.

You can find a lot of them on the rocks etc up on bank on Bridgeport. Years ago I special ordered an oddball color. Had to buy like 36 of them if I recall. Lost them all out there over the years. Forgot all about them but have found a couple in the past year in areas I used to fish a lot. Still worked fine after new hardware. roflmao

found these 4 square bills on falcon in 2012....they were dropping the water and there was a small piece of net hung in that bush no bigger than a pie plate that had snagged these 4 baits plus a jig head and a texas rigged worm....the baits were all in like new shape indicating they probably had been under water but a few months and also an indicator of how much fishing pressure Falcon was getting a few years ago...

And it is also an indicator that chartreuse is a popular color down there! fish
