Lake Belton continues to pay with lots of nice crappie. Friday night and Saturday morning we hit 72 keepers. Saturday night and Sunday am we got 47. Jigs and minnows, all over the water column. At night under the lights some of these fish come off the bottom. Some will hit 5' deep? Great weekend to be fishing on Belton.

I don't recall the jig brand but they are clear with silver glitter in them and black and chartuse. Both are soaked in garlic.

Here I looked it up for you where I purchased them. They are Thermocline. I didn't go into the invoice to see exactly what models but you should get it from the description.
I was watching a video on the CAT meetings/seminars archives night before last and the professional crappie guide on there said he didn't believe that color mattered. Been thinking about that. When I got to my fishing spot yesterday afternoon I pulled out that box choke full of different colors, some packages not even open. I pulled out the oldest crazy colors I could find. Caught fish, tried 6 different ones, caught fish. I do believe though I caught more on the garlic ones with the straight little tail and I would have to say its the size, smell, presentation of the jig from my simple little test with the fish biting already.
