 have a question I need some help with!!

I have a question I need some help with. This past Sunday a friend and I were fishing from the bank on the west side of the 2-mile bridge at lake Tawakoni. We were right beside the bridge, close enough where we could walk underneath the bridge since the water is so low. Well, we was getting great bites until a couple of game wardens came flying up to the shore and one of them jumped out and asked to see our fish. Since we just started and havent caught any keepers yet, he asked to see our license. After we showed him our license he said it was illegal for us to fish under or close to the bridge. We werent fishing from the bridge just down beside it from the bank. Is there any truth to what he said? Keep in mind we both didnt see any signs stating no fishing. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I believe it is state law in Texas there there is NO fishing from ANY bridge.

we wasn't fishing FROM the bridge, but down where we could fish under it. down by the waters edge.

Then I don't know. Could be a local restriction or something.

Wardens sound like they are on a power trip. "No fishing FROM a bridge" would mean you had to be standing ON the bridge. Find the regulation...talk to your lawyer and buy a boat.
