I have no experience on that lake but from what Ive read people are tired of posting the same thing about it every week. Use the search feature.

My dad was there all last week and it was the typical should have been here yesterday reports. Everyone wrecked them the week prior but last week was extremely slow and difficult for all the anglers on the lake. It didn't help that the airboats were out there spraying the salvinia which usual throws a lake into a funk for a while.

A buddy and I went out last weekend. Caught probably a dozen or so. All of our fish came on t-rigged plastics working banks. Had one good fish smash a chatterbait. Fish weren't really on beds yet, just cruising for a bruising!

Yea the search engine didn't yield much. I no how to use it. And for the couple of guys with the wise crack comments, maybe you should keep them to yourselves especially if you haven't fished it. I no I wouldn't comment anything to a guy asking about a lake that I hadn't been on. But I understand people who enjoy running their mouth on a forum who wouldn't dare do it in person. And to the guys who did have something useful information on Naconiche then I appreciate it. Have a good one

420, it does no good to get butthurt or bow up on this forum. One of the guys youre chastising is a hell of a stick and is on that water and the rest of the SE Texas lakes more than you and I combined. Just relax and take what you get.

No secrets out there. Its a small place. Just go fishing. If you get advice on here it possibly will cause you to waste half your trip not catching. Throw a wacky senko

Never been one to take what I get 5x3phoenix. Sorry. Someone got something smart to say then I do too. Just spoke my piece like they did. It's over. I'm just going to a part of Texas I haven't been to on a lake I haven't fished. I'm an information fiend. The more I can gather the less time I spend fishing unproductive water or baits. Thanks Mr latta for the insight. Noticed ur from the area. Have a great day everyone

After you launch the boat make a left and go way up in that creek. Frog, beaver, and a spinnerbait. Go as far back in the timber as you can. There's a lot of water you can fish if you don't mind scratches.

Like I said go to the lake, launch the boat head to areas that fish gather pre spawn, spawning and post spawn. AKA "the banks"
It's not a huge lake and has a lot of productive water, only issue is I am sure the lake is getting hammered due to media attention it got last year and the fish may be a little bashful.
Good Luck and don't spinout

Just got back from there Monday. We caught fish everywhere from the dam to every cove and arm there. Caught several in the 4 lb range and caught one female that weighed in at 8-4. Wasn't hard to find them. We fished anywhere we could find 7-8' of water and obviously structure in the water. Found bedded fish and pre and post spawn fish. We found the best bite if we went to the right from the boat ramp. We caught them on frogs, flukes, spinnerbaits and black lizards.
