I wear Muck boots when hunting in very cold weather, they make a couple of fishing shoes/boots, if they are anything like my hunting boots then they are the real deal, I am going to buy a pair soon.

I've been wearing my waterproof Merrel Hiking boots. Good tread very warm, super comfortable. What else could you ask for?

Here are some similar to what I bought at army navy. Same style just a different brand. But there going to be light weigth and very warm. And easy to kick off if you go over the side.

im also a fan of the seal skinz, warm and waterproof. i have tried many types of water proof boots and with the right socks most will work. but be careful, they all seem to be slick on bottom and when its raining and cold they dont grip very well!

I've fished a lot in cold weather - lived in Ohio for a few...and down to air temps in the 30's I'm comfortable in tennis shoes with heavy wool socks and if it was going to rain I would wear my fishing sandals instead of the tennis shoes - the key is the heavy wool socks, because even when wet wool will keep you warm !!!

+1 on the muck boots, you can roll them down to half the size on dryer days, on wet days use the full length. My feet have never been cold in them. And to the guys scared about fishing in boots, you can kick these boots off in a split second.

the muck boots are a little clunky but your feet will stay warm and dry and you can step in the water no problems

I love to wear woodland shoes because they have thick sole which keeps foot warm. This sheepskin-style lined boots from California boardsports brand DC are so snug, it’s like wandering around in the snow in your slippers, albeit without getting your feet cold or wet. The style is more street than some of the others in our selection but the technical quality is good.
