Such a beautiful day today! I went out from 1 pm to 4 pm and the fishing was red hot!!! 58 magnum whites, 15 smalls, and 2 legal hybrids. Points along the southern shoreline and near the dam in 40 feet of water produced big magnum whites and legal hybrids!! I know that catching fish in 40 FOW is not the norm for R-C, but right now, that is what is happening. Keep watching the sonar and look for 2-3 inch long arches as long as your finger (depending on your unit) stacked up. Look for arches with the densest colors based on your color palate. I included a couple of screen shots below. Looks like it is going to be a great spring!

I am using 2 ounce shad-shaped lures by Redneck Fishin'. Chartreuse and white or silver holographic. I prefer the heavier lures, so that when the fish swim at them, the water movement doesn't push them away from the charging fish.
Vertical jigging works well, if the bite slows, but the fish are still there, switch to a cast and slow retrieve. This time of year they are very willing to chase a bait.
