Did they open the ramp sometime in the last year or so? That ramp has been closed for a couple of years now hasn't it?
I've been trailering past it and on to Calliham then dodging stumps running back down to the damn. Sure wish the South Shore ramps were open.

Supposedly the state was going to fix the one ramp, sounds like its still closed except to small boats.

Yes, that page is sad. But I havent fished much since having kiddos!!!
Ramp is finished but unable to launch anything bigger than a John boat at this time due to water level.
We fished near Caliham and caught a few cats on worms. Nothing else worked. Couldnt find shrimp... lol

South Shores ramp is closed for repairs; it should reopen in early 2018. That from TP&W. Might open in 2052 when the lake finally fills up again.

South Shores ramp is closed for repairs; it should reopen in early 2018. That from TP&W. Might open in 2052 when the lake finally fills up again. Gonna need a big storm to get that lake up lol

I have a friend that has a small place on Mathis lake/Lake Corpus Christi, he is genuinely pizzed that they arent draining Choke to keep Mathis full. I asked him, you do realize Choke is down about 25 all the time, right? His response was, I dont care if its dry as long as they put the water where its supposed to be, which is Mathis. I kind of wanted to slap him.
