buddy helping me switch trolling motors out and he can't remember which side red wire was on,its only has a red and black wire.im not sure what will happen if i get it backwards,i don't want to burn up my new ultrex or will it just run backwards anyhow i need help.

It all depends on which leg you put the red from trolling motor on the male plug.
