 My Catfish catching daughter... (Eagle Mountain 3/2)

My 10 year old daughter asked me to take her fishing last Friday. Almost never happens... We didn't get out on the lake until 6:30. I found some fish shallow, anchored up, and she was catching one after another and all I could do was bait hooks and cast rods back out. She was having a blast. While re-tying a leader on that I cut after tangle, a rod bent way over and I heard a tail slap. My daughter just grabbed the rod having no idea a big one was on and she started reeling. The fish came right at the boat and when it got there made a fast U turn and she had her hands full. I waited with the net and she managed to get it back to the boat. She was super excited and really proud of this fish. Not a giant by any means, but way bigger than anything she has ever reeled in. She said she didn't care about the slime : ) Bait is back up shallow and it is game on!

I love fishing but I LOVE taking young'uns out to catch fish a lot more. I can go out and not touch a pole if I have kids on the boat and they are catching and I have more fun watching them have a blast. Good job putting her on the fish.
