Have any of you ever installed and used to Loc-R-Bar Lock Alarm System to lock your front boat compartments? I'm thinking about putting on my Skeeter. The compartment locks on the Skeeters are junk, great boats, bad locks. And yes, I know that all locks can be broken. Goal is to make it difficult so they move on. Any thoughts, experiences, opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes. If I may suggest, pick up a Bolt lock. It uses your ignition key to unlock...that way, no extra keys to lose and you always have the key to unlock. Just match to your vehicle key. I have them on my receiver lock and coupler lock, as well as my Loc-R-bar https://www.boltlock.com/locks/padlock

Thanks. That's a good suggestion.
So have you been pleased with the Lock-R-Bar?

I have them on my receiver lock and coupler lock, as well as my Loc-R-bar https://www.boltlock.com/locks/padlock I have the T-H marine alarm lock on my Legend V-20, it works really well and is loud if it is set off, which is nice if at a hotel or the boat is not in a garage. The only drawback is having another set of keys to keep up with, which I just add to my ignition key ring since it goes in an out of the boat when everything is locked up anyway. The Bolt-Lock mentioned above though is a great option if not wanting to have to keep up with keys.

I have a loc-r-bar with the TH marine alarm lock. Won't have a boat without one. Don't worry about the urban legend of thieves using your bow strap to pull it out. No one has ever produced proof of this happening, even had a repair shop try it and it didn't work.
It may not be fool proof but make it as hard as possible and they'll go somewhere else.
