I would like to check out Pat Mayse. Is the lake in good shape since the floods? What should I expect bass fishing?
Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah that lake with all the rain will be high for a while . But when it comes down and is stable the fishing will be great.the lake years ago had endless amounts of cattails but due to droughts and cold Temps it killed them all out. But there's lots of bushes and buck brush to flip and lots of quality fish to be caught. So with all that being said I would put in at sanders cove and stay on that end, lots of points and coves to fish . The rip rap on the dam is good too. Hope this helps !!

Um...I just checked Water Data Texas and it says Pat Mayse is 0%. Did they drain the lake or is this a mistake?

Um...I just checked Water Data Texas and it says Pat Mayse is 0%. Did they drain the lake or is this a mistake? Just checked another source ( http://www.lakelevels.info/USA/Texas/) and it shows it 9.79 ft high. So I'd go with the fellas above talking about it being flooded.

Um...I just checked Water Data Texas and it says Pat Mayse is 0%. Did they drain the lake or is this a mistake? That is just weird. It actually says 0.00% and 44.18 low. I have to disagree. I think Pat Mayes would be at 50% even if the dam broke.

It's really high right now. The spawn is usually a couple weeks behind other lakes in the area on Mayse. I would give it a few weeks and let it stabilize. The lake was amazing last spring. I expect it to be even better this year if the water will stabilize.

Lake is still high and will be several weeks stabilizing. It doesn't fish well while falling. There hasn't been much said about it this week.

I was at Mayse Sunday before last and it was very high and muddy. Water temps were 48-53. The 53 was in Sanders cove where the muddiest water was.
