Today I had a last minute cancellation. Before I headed home I met Mike from Houston and Bubba from Whitney. They were camping at Overlook park. They jumped at the chance to go out fishing, even last minute.
We got a late start but managed a good mess of fish. The bite was so light that only one cat took the hook all the way into its mouth. We figured we had about 75 missed hook sets.
They ended the morning, right ahead of some rain showers, with 8 crappie and 18 nice cats, up to 5.5#.
