I'm a blue or black back, with a silver body, 1/2 or 1/4 oz. rattletrap. I'll go bigger if I think it'll pull a monster from the water. In the Spring I do like the Rayburn Red. I have all the other colors but this is what I use most, with good results. Been fishing like lures since they were similar and named "Hot Spot".

Top one is a good saltwater bait. Have caught tons of trout and reds at the jetties on it and gold/pink

a 3/4oz is almost the same profile as a lighter one. the reason to go heavier is for more depth.
