I just purchased a new pontoon. Lowe 212WT. I'm hoping to add an Ulterra TM to it. Not sure it will fit. I need to be able to close the front gate when the motor is in the stowed position. Dont want any grandkids or dogs jumping outa the boat while underway. I have 12" of deck space in front of the gate. The gate opening is 10" from the deck. What i need is measurements from the deck to the top of the shaft and top of deck to the highest point of the drive unit. All in stowed position. Im having a bad feeling this motor might not fit. Dealer not helping much. Only sells motorguide. Nothing against them either. Have a bad back so self deploy and stow would be very helpfull. Catalog pic showing a MG. Thanks for any and all help.

I have one mounted on my Ranger Bay.

To the top of the shaft: 7.25
To the top of the stow mechanism: 9.5
Base length: 19.5

Let me know if you need anything else.

If you mount the forward mounting holes as far forward as you can go, The drive mechanism will be directly under your gate at 10

Is yours mounted directly to the boat or do you have a quick release bracket ? Thats something else i would like to add but looks like it will add 1/2 to 1" more to the height. Appears the Ulterra hags 6 to 8" out from the edge of boat ?? Only place i've been able to see one is at local Bass Pro. Theres are mounted to a display so no way move things around to check. Might have to take a wrench in there with me and unbolt the darn thing !! Their staff have been little help. Thanks

I mounted it directly to the boat as I dont understand the concept of the quick release bracket? Bolt that baby down and leave it.

Except maybe if you store it at a storage facility then maybe I could see it. But yes that would add another 1/2 or so. Theres about 5 that hangs out past the forward holes.

Hey thanks again . All great info. Think I will order one. Guess I can always return if it doesn't work out. As far as quick relaes bracket, I'm planning on using it on my bassboat too. Thanks

Be sure to do some research on the right size for your boat. They have a formula that accounts for weight of boat fully loaded with gear as compared to thrust. For the spot lock to work right you dont want one too powerful for your boat or it will constantly be fighting itself. The new Bluetooth model with link is the way to go if you have hummingbird electronics.

Auto deploy, go-to waypoint, spotlock and fish! Its a trip.

Vicjay, Ive got an Ulterra 80lb thrust on my Triton boat with a MKA-47 bracket that I can quickly slide on and off. If you want to look at it or measure things let me know and we can set up some time. I live just west of DFW airport if you want check it out. Let me know.

Thats the best option and a nice offer. Although, your gonna be so close depending on how you mount it that even if you had to have a sheet metal shop modify that Gate slightly it wouldnt be hard. From the pic it looks like an aluminum Gate.

My dealer actually found someone with similar boat that had added the Ulterra. He's offered to let me come by and check it out. Only lives 5mi from me !! Things are looking up ! Want to thank you all for your time, effort and offers. I knew i would get some help from members here. FYI, I currently live near Truman lake in Missouri. Born in KC. Lived most of my life in Frisco TX area. I'm Not a true texan but my heart tells me differently. Theres nothing finer on Gods green earth then the state of Texas and its people. Thanks again.
