Going to go fishing this Wednesday, thinking about going to Moses lake and fishing the deep pockets there. Problem is I’m pretty inexperienced in saltwater fishing. Are there any fish in Moses lake? Should I go somewhere else? The past few times I’ve been out I went to chocolate bay and bayou without much luck...so any advice would be welcomed.

Welcome to the forum. I'd suggest some research on your own before you go. Are you going to be on a boat, or bank?

Went there Wednesday, caught a hard head by the flood gate, that’s it...threw every lure I had....also used live shrimp. Went to the deep hole on the NW side and the fish finder lit up like a Christmas tree...drifted over that 3 times and not a single bite..wind eventually forced me to leave. Water was running out of the lake...didn’t see anyone catch anything...fished both the outside and inside of the gate

Did you fish you try fishing the Deep Hole on BOTTOM?

Didn’t tight line it, but I did drag a Carolina rig across it with shrimp...fish were suspended at about 10-12ft
