Redneck is southern and Texan. Hillbilly is completely different and from up north... Tennessee, Kentucky, WV, etc.
Not interchangeable. Not the same.
And they sure as hell don't mean dumb. They mean country.

The term redneck is a derogatory term chiefly used for a rural poor white person of the Southern United States. And some people are proud to call themselve one. My experince ..... if you are proud to be a dumb.... you are.
And I know who "Jeff" is.
