big weighted surf bobbers also come in handy if you feel like using a jig and bobber setup. At least a 4oz weight is needed

Lol I like how this turned into a gear discussion when my questions were mainly about technique and general info! We're just bored cause the river's flooded haha. Think it will be fishable this weekend? Or maybe Lavon dam?

Water is up about 15 ft higher than normal and flowing 80 times faster than normal. It's probably going to take about 4 days until we can fish if it stops raining.

Wind from the north, fisherman does not go forth.
Wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth.
Wind from the east, the fish bite least.
Wind from the west, the fish bite best..

Rc will likely lose most of its run this year.....with Lavon pumping out a constant 4000+cfs right now most of our fish are going to reroute to the dam.
