I just let the dog have at 'em. I can always tell if there is something under the cover as he just sits at the back of the boat and stares. I have heard cats make some noise that I never they would when the dog gets under the cover.

I have also found that a live trap works well. Although the neighbors are not that happy when you take their cat back to them in a cage.

Try citrus or Orange oil. Cats hate the smell of citrus. And your boat will smell better! (From Howard Garrett, The Dirt Doctor)

Getcha some fox urine. Worked for chasing critters out of the attic. Just secure the jar so it doesn't spill.

Cats hate the smell of Lavender as well. Most of the Essential oils will work.

my simple solution was my dog when i was having problems with cats walking on my car... my buddy uses his bow

Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.

I have the same problem - liquid childrens Tylenol would work but it has almost the same side effects as antifreeze. I had a problem with skunks and the fox urine got rid of them but the cats still come around. I might try the ammonia or citrus stuff.

Cayenne pepper works wonders and it cleans out real easy with just water. You'll never have another housecat or coon come back...once they lick their paws (especially cats) they'll never ever come back.

I covered my truck with it one night and have never had my sister's cats back on it again...they run when they see my truck pull up in the driveway.
