I wish several of the lakes down here would fill back up. Y'all got it easy up in North Texas.

I wish I had enough water here to be able to flip some bushes. When the lake is above pool how do you go about narrowing down where they will be? The few times I have fished flooded lakes I have never had luck finding a consistent bite. Cover water and don't overthink it. The fish seem to scatter when it gets real high.

Actually other than (3) historic crests on Toledo in the last 20 years, the SRA normally does a very good job of maintaining it near 172 if and when it gets there. Of course you also need the weather to cooperate.
TB level been low last few months. I heard some dam or generator work. Last year:

Last year: It's been a little low but actually right about where it usually gets this time of year if you go off of historical averages. It's really just been abnormally high the last couple years and people have gotten spoiled to it and forgotten the norm.

I doubt Rayburn got the same amount as up North.
I would love to see it fill back up. 6 inches yesterday

That was crazy. Gvine was like 20+ ft high right? I saw water at the bathrooms at mcpherson.. I also took my old boat under the balcony at the gaylord.

Yep. It's coming.
I can use my waypoints I made last timemthe lakes flooded. Many have been on stuff that is dry land lately.

That isn't likely to happen again. 2015 was an absolutely huge statistical outlier. As I recall, the D/FW Metroplex received 62" or so of total rainfall, way above the previous record . . . and about twice the normal annual rainfall. What would be great, though, would be to have enough rain to break the light to severe drought conditions that preceded this rain event, then have a wetter than usual summer to see us through into the fall. Other places in Texas could only wish for some of this! Brad

If the forecast is right Fork will have gates open for the next 6-8 days minimum.....cold moving water.... nope
If we get the warming trend I will go fish my home lake I'm sure.
