NRX is at the top of the food chain, the only other rod that comes close is a GLX. I'm still contemplating whether or not to buy one of the new Loomis Conquest rods which are believe it or not more expensive than the NRX.

NRX is the best! I have hooked more fish in the side or back because I felt them brush my line than with any other rod. you can feel everything! I have fished with many brands and own Loomis from E6X up to NRX and the NRX is second to none.

Reading all the reviews on the NRX, do they live up to the hype? Where's the cheapest place to purchase NRX rods? Yes they are expensive, yes they are worth it for bottom contact baits. I use Dobyn's for reaction baits.

Three GLX and two NRX, love them both but the NRX is worth the difference. If the Conquest is better I'll never know unless you let me use yours.

The new glx models are the best rod in their line of rods right now and southwest parts always has a good selection of them.

Highly recommend G. Loomis rods for any bait that isn't constantly moving (drop shot, jig, flipping, wacky, c-rig...). I prefer the NRX over the others, but admittedly only have a few NRX rods. I use the Shimano Zodias and Expride rods for moving baits and prefer the glass rods in those models (7'2, 7'3 and 7'6). Loomis also recently released a new rod last year that is a notch above the NRX on price point, the Conquest. I don't own a Conquest rod yet, but I've been fishing with a guy that absolutely loves his (even over the NRX).
There's a few dealers around Dallas/Fort Worth. Personally, I'd go to Fun N' Sun in Hurst if I lived out where you do. They've got a new-ish tackle manager and she's absolutely energetic about helping fishermen find what they need in the tackle department. I'm not sure if Fun N' Sun has the Conquest rods in yet, but I'm sure they can order them. If you want one sooner rather than later and don't mind driving into Dallas, I know Fishin' World has Conquest rods in stock.

American Legacy Fishing is probably the best place to buy Loomis rods. Their warranty on Loomis rods is better than Loomis, but only if you buy it from them. https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/
