Went to put in at Wilson's Cut the other day and found the gate nearest 361 closed and locked. Is this a post Harvey phenomenon? Or is it going to continue in perpetuity? I was always very grateful to the energy company (Chaparral, I think)for allowing access back there. I followed a road(?!?) from the boat launch area but couldn't get up to the graveled road... sigh. I suppose it's down to launching where the pb's do and paddling a bit further as well as hoping I don't get run over. Good luk.

That sucks! I wonder if that thin section of land at the end got washed out. They would have to repair it to get back the the wells I would think. It's not much further to paddle but the PB do like to fly through there. Keep safe!

There is a discussion about this in the inshore subforum. Lot's of speculation but nothing definitive. I guess I'll try Chaparral Energy to see if I can track down an answer.

Yeah, it's speculation on my part, but I've never heard of access being cut off then reopened before. I hope I'm wrong.
