I bought a new fishfinder and all these years I have spent fishing, I realized that I dont think that I was reading it 100% correct. I got on magnum sandbass.com and read Hals article about fishfinders and noticed the gray lines etc in his pics. When I went out the other day, I adjusted my fishfinder to resemble how his were set. Turns out, i had my sensitivity turned WAY up. Now, If it doesnt show fish, there usually arent any. The way I had it, it showed fish everywhere, prob even when I pulled out on the trailer. What a difference!!! Very informative article Hal. Thanks. Also made one of your recipe's BIG HIT. The orintal soup. WONDERFUL. My wife was impressed to say the least!!
If I remove the poison dart, could you please, please suck out the poison???

I had it at 100%, or at least in the upper 90's. I have since turned it down to about 70-76%. That cleared it up alot. Go to www.magnumsandbass.com and look through the articles. He has one about fish finders in it. Ill look again and see if I see exactly how to get to it, but it is relatively easy. Just look at the articles.

thanks, I keep on having to change my settings. for instance in deeper water I'd have to turn up the sensitivity and shallow water I'd have to turn it down to 80% or it'll pick up a bunch of junk. If I leave it at 80% in deeper water lets say 30+ feet, the screen will be blank everywhere I go. weird.

Thanks but Magnum Sandbass's highly regarded Guide and writer John Varner wrote that. He is the best graph reader I know.
I appreciate the advertising of MSB because I often wonder if the sight is worth the upkeep.
Thanks John, your article on graph reading is priceless.
Thanks for thanking me for putting everyones info on the web.

MSB is an awesome sight. I check back regularly to see what's been updated and what's been changed. Never a bad article on there.

I check in on the MSB site all the time. It is great to have info on sandbass that is current & up to date, plus the section on graph reading by John Varner is extremely helpful.
