The wind and cold had me abandon my plans for Wheeler Branch a couple weeks ago, so I'm going to try it again this Friday, 2/9. Anyone interested in joining? I plan to be out there fairly early, a little after sun-up, but you're free to join at any time. I'll be in a red Perception Pescador Pilot, so if you see me, please say hello. I'd love to meet some people.

Wish I could! I've been wanting to try that lake for some time now. Hopefully I'll get out there soon. Be sure to give us a report.
Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Really good time for the walleye right now while they are shallow. They can be caught in the summer but have to get deep real deep. Glad they are still putting some in excellent if not the tastiest freshwater fish Ive ever eaten!! They should be 10-17fow right now so very accessible.

Smallmouth was just over two not big by any means but a very beautiful specimen. Walleye Right now look close to rock should be looking to spawn(successfully or not). Small frame cranks that can get down to 8-16fow on a long cast parallel to structure. Citrus shad, sexy Shad, craw, and Rapala with purple in it have been best. In the heat need to stroll cranks down to 25-30 fow. Ive done well getting them down with dipsy divers and basically putting the crank ona c-rig with a lot of tungsten 3ft in front. Put a lot of time in on that lake just havent been in several months now. Ready to get back great time of year out there if you can wait 20 seconds between jerks. Smallmouth cant take it in the clear water. Do best from island past the humps then across to the deep point in the back. Not sharing anything on lmb though
