I can see how MotorMate and similar keep the motor from moving relative to the transom. But, how does this relieve stress on the transom during trailering? It seems to me that transferring the torsional load to the trailer rather than to the transom (i.e. a traditional skeg to trailer transom saver) is better for the boat transom.
Someone please shed light on this for me.
Thanks, Ron

Motor Mate will not work on a 25" shaft. I need to find another option.

Use what you feel more comfortable with. The trailering load is nothing compared to the load that transom takes on the lake.

It really isn't a transom saver. The motor won't hurt your transom while trailering and if it did, you had a transom problem to begin with. It really is to save your tilt and trim

No need for the motor mate...
I got the one at bass pro (can't remember what it was called, all I remember was that it had Skeet reese or someone on the front..)
Use it on a 225 Pro XS, have for a few years, no problems.
