Remember... that south end clear water takes forever to warm up and can be unfishable in a big north wind. We fish that end of the lake for smallies this time of year, but pretty rare for smallmouth to win any tournaments out there unless your last name is Burns or Evers.

Was out there this past Friday and same thing. 48-49 degree water, post cold front, high skies, no wind. Made for a really tough day. Did notice a LOT of cormorants and pelicans though, so I guess somebody found 'em.

The Washita River takes you up there but there's no entrance to the wildlife area unless you bank your boat and walk. Don't think tournaments allow that.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.
