Don't underestimate them. Use alllllll the tools available for success. Would you limit yourself to only 10 lb Mono? or Just a Spinnerbait? Some of the most exciting success I have had is using it on an Alabama Rig!!! And then other times it works to get those few tough day bites, to finish a limit. The key thing is they are relatively inexpensive, can be used on ANY bait of YOUR choosing, and are simple to use. Doesn't hurt to try them. It has made many anglers believers after they use them.

Hope this will help: - Use the most natural scents that the Bass feed on. - Use Pure Extract. - Use the scent to mask the human odor. - Use the scent to make the fish hold the bait longer. - Bass will follow the scent trail so apply frequently. Catching is not always about reaction strikes. - Scent is just one more stepping stone to providing fish with everything that they are looking for along with sight, sound, vibration and taste.
I use the Minnow Extract on fast moving baits like spinner bait skirts, swim baits and crank baits. Use the Crayfish on you creature baits and jig skirts. The Night Crawler works best on your slow moving plastics like worms and finesse plastics.
I do not like to cross apply the Pure Extracts on baits that are already scented and have not had the best results doing so. Select baits that are not scented or have someone to hand pour your baits and apply the scent in the pour or just dose the packages a few days before fishing with them.
Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success. Bang garlic, whenever you want to.

Been using garlic forever, I have no idea if it actually helps but it doesn't hurt. Had a partner grab it one day thinking it was spray on sunscreen and had it all over him before he got a big whiff. It doesn't wear off unless you get in the water lol.

I use Megastrike, not as an attractant scent but to cover MY scent. It makes no mess if you spill it (can't spill), doesn't make you smell like dead crayfish or shad.

Couple I like are Megastrike and Smelly Jelly. That said, I don't use them as often as I probably should....

JJ's Magic - use the clear mostly but sometimes dip the tails in Chartreuse or use a Q-tip to add a bit of red to the belly or gills of a swimbait.

I use Donald Harper's scents for ALL my plastics and SOME of my moving baits as we. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Does anybody use Pro-Cure?
I've always used Berkley products but I have recently used Smelly Jelly. I always go with Shad, Crawfish, or Earthworm. I seem to remember that the earthworm wash got the best reaction in the lab testing.
I may need to try Donald's stuff as well.

I like the Pro-Cure also. Have seen that people seem to really like Donald Harper's stuff so thinking about giving it a try. I don't usually start with scent but may add it as I think I might need it. I use it more on my fingertips than on the bait. I use it to mask my scent. I wear gloves which is why it's just on my fingertips. Does it make a difference, I don't know and have not really seen that adding scent helped anything but it for sure probably won't hurt.
