NEED HELP WITH 1994 MARINER 200 NO POWER OUT OF HOLE SHOT, ONCE THE RPM'S GET TO AROUND 3500 IT PICKS UP AND TAKES OFF AS NORMAL. HAD SOMEONE TELL ME IT WAS THE SLOW SPEED STATOR WAS GOING OUT, SO I REPLACED THE STATOR. I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM NOW. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANK YOU

stator functions usually work or don't work.. efi/carb?.. do a comp test.. unless tha gauge you use is a "known" accurate one, use a coupla different ones.... check for fire on all six.. check fuel delivery and pressure...........

Have you changed the prop recently? I put a Tempest on mine and it did the same thing until I opened up a couple of holes.

SAME PROP ON BOAT FOR 12 YEARS.

There's way too many things it could be. Internet diagnostics are very difficult. I'd be taking it to someone holding a clue ticket.

The fastest way to blow up a motor is to lean out one cylinder.

Might need injectors cleaned and reeds checked

Also you can do a leak down on motor to make sure motor is good, seen good compression and bottom ring want pull fuel till get to higher RPM

DID A COMPRESSION TEST SO FAR AND IT HAD 125 IN ALL CYLINDERS
I WILL TRY TO DO A LEAK DOWN TODAY SOMETIME

Injectors cleaned & flow tested. Should be done (according to most manufacturers) every year. 2 years at the most. Its a LOT cheaper to do that than blow one up.

If it has the big black EFI stamped box on the front of the motor, that is likely your culprit. I would bet many of the internal drivers are out.
