Buy, especially if you havent spent much time on Rayburn. You dont have to have it to fish Rayburn, but it definitely save time over idling constantly.

There are only a "handful" (3- Long Cut, Short Cut, Attoyac Cut) of actual boatlanes on Rayburn. (It is not like Toledo.) Most of the Rayburn ones are north of 147 Bridge and above San Augustine Park (Attoyac). If you don't plan to fish that far north then you would be wasting your money. Below those areas there are hazardous areas but they are not separated out with boatlanes.

I think they are worth it. Like mentioned above there isn't lanes like Toledo or Fork but if you don't know Rayburn at all they give you the routes you should run. Cheap insurance, you can buy all three lakes for less than the cost of one tank of gas.

I agree they are worth the money if you are going to fish from the Black Forrest North.

Boat Lanes chip is actually very helpful on the Ayish arm. Miller, Buck Bay, Lane, Owl, etc.

It amazes me all the guys I see running those areas with no idea of what's under the water.

I dont make it to Rayburn much but I will agree with the statements above. If you plan on running above the bridge the boatlanes chip is helpful. If not Ken Smith Fishing on youtube has great videos he breaks down areas to run. Honestly if you dont plan to be above the bridge get a pen and paper and watch Kens videos. I cannot speak for Toledo.

I use it on sam rayburn and would suggest that if you don't know the lake to get it. Contrary to most thoughts, there are dangers south of the bridge. It was worth the purchase to me.

Well if it gives you confidence buy it.

RBO you said a mouthful about running these areas the people running these are either crazy, have very good trails, or no idea what they are running over or next to. Very dangerous area as is above 147 bridge. I have seen guys run past Owl creek on pad and they need to get a lottery ticket. For everyone's safety be careful this thread is very informational.

Yes buy it well worth it

Toledo lanes are marked on the lake pretty good just keep in mind they aren�t really wide especially going East and West. Going East and West make sure to stay on the upwind side of bouys they move with the wind so w/a South wind you�d want to be on the South side of bouy and vice versa w/North wind. I believe they are less than 50yds wide. Anything out of the boat lane I�d suggest idling.

Get the card. North of caney flats and north of buck bay island you better know where your going. It's still pretty open until you get a little farther north of those areas but there's plenty there that can still get you. The "lanes" start headed north a little past 147 and headed north just past Miller's flats. Long cut is pretty wide, the rest are pretty narrow. Outside of those lanes is just like toledo. There's also a lane going back into buck bay where the timber starts, I don't know that one but I know what levels are "safe" to run in there. Out in front of buck bay you will see standing timber, that's the creek channel, if you cross that channel your asking for it. I see guys cut across it all the time and they have no idea how lucky they just got. Point being, there are tone of stumps out there that can get you that I guess lots of people just don't believe the guys that know when they tell them. Get the chip and around any stump area you better stay on that line because you could be cutting a trail right thru them. I've also read once that they were good till 5' low. You better have good insurance if your going to push that.
