Allan, no idea why. But with Carey as a first name, I wish my parents had picked Allan as my first name. Always went to school with a bunch of girls named Carrie, but I was the only male with that name. Kinda like the song, "A Boy Named Sue".

My middle name is Douglas, when my wife and I had a son, we gave him the middle name Douglas because her Dad's name is Douglas and my Dad's name is Doug.

I have no middle name. It has been a burden throughout life to be referred to as NMI. you and Jack Reacher Mine is Madison, Same as my dad , used to me a male name till the movie " Splash " Every Madison since 1984 is female , I believe. Mo
