I fish Gambler floating worms around spawning fish and work it fast just under the surface. A light medium heavy Kistler helium 3 with a Lews 7.1 reel spooled with 12lb invizx works for me. I actually have been using them on an Owner Beast hook with the small belly weight so they will swim down with a unique action. The first couple of times I caught some fish on them and they would come off of the hook when fighting the fish I was happily surprised because my worm would float back up the surface and I could got get it and still use it.

This is a pic Mr. Yates sent me when I asked about there new baits and if they floated. Looks like they float to me. I will be ordering some soon.
