Can’t help but notice all the floating Shad on Texoma today. Fishing has been slow.

Knew it was coming, hate to hear it, hope there are enough survivors to support the fish. Could it be that the fish are gorging themselves on the dead or nearly dead shad that they have no interest in anything else?

Yes probably some much needed kill up north and out west but fishing and bait catching is good. I commercial fish shad this time of year and caught about 700 lbs in two hours last night.

If you hit them just right you can get 3000 a throw. Sometimes when you pull on the rope it feels like you are hung up but then it slowly comes up and it's all you can do to pick it up and haul in the boat.
