Never been to Cabo and the wife is planning us a trip there. Always heard it's a great place for blue water fishing. Sure would like some tips, recommendations or any advice on what to do or how to go about it. Guides, half day bra full day? Best time? Anything please.

There are so many options for lodging from condos to cabins but we have stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos a couple of times and it a great first time place for the wife and kids. There are a couple of options besides booking the trip blindly on line. There is a kiosk at the dock. They can set you up with the guys that are catching or you can just walk the docks a day or two before you want to go out and see who is available. If they don't have a ride they will negotiate a little. As you know, this is high season for striped marlin in Cabo. There can be a big traffic jam at the mouth of the harbor that can set you back as much as an hour getting bait and through the traffic. Find a guide that will get you out early.

Looking for a guide. Will be there mid March.
For sure two but likely rest of family for a view (5 total).
Is there any fishing from the shore?

I use Cabo Magic, with Jose as Captain. He always finds the fish. You can also pre purchase your license online via some place in San Diego. Give Lori a shout and she will take care of you.
