Was looking to keep a log on all the lakes I tournament fish and the various and sundry details therein. Anybody use any special software to do so? I don't mind paying a fee if it's what I'm looking for and user friendly. TIA.

I just use MS Word, been doing it for years. for example:
LOCATION: TRIP # DATE: TIME: WATER TEMP: WTR CLARITY: STAGE: WIND: SKY: BAROMETER: MOON: WEATHER TREND: CATCH: COMMENTS: I just keep copying the format, and fill it in.
Works fine for me.

After looking around, I may just program something in MS Access to handle it all.

I use a manual one similar to Lucky Al but then transfer the information to Fish-N-Log Professional. https://secure.taysys.com/?page_id=5User friendly. I've used it for a number of years and I like it.

There's fishbrain app that's pretty nice, I also use a notebook I write stuff done. Also I video record most of the time I fish so I can always look at that. It helps with seeing exactly what I was doing before the strike happens.

I like to do things like this for myself. A mobile app would be fun and rather easy to do.

access would be pretty cool because you could query different situations that are similar prior to heading out.
Months Jan - Fed moon phase - full temperature - 25-45
or
lake - fork months - jan - feb
no ends to the way you could query it and get information specific to what you would be heading in to. If I was a big tournament fisherman, I think this would be really helpful

That was my thinking, dustin. Infinitely variable and I could easily tune everything to my liking. An app would be ideal only for the fact that I could pull the info up on my phone ad hoc, but it's really more about tournament prep than anything.

This could be done with something as simple as excel using filters to search. The great thing is it could be accessed anywhere with something like Dropbox or one drive.

I have been using the "connect scale". It will weigh fish and Bluetooth/log the info to you phone. weight, gps location, air temp, time date. You can manually enter the species, water temp, body of water, bait, etc. Weigh the 6th fish and it will tell you which fish to cull. I'm not sure about the accuracy on weight so ill put them on the beam if they look close.

I started with a number 2 pencil and a Big Chief tablet in the early 80's, now I'm up to a note pad and a gimme pen. It's low tech, but it works
