Any reports from the chicken coop on Toledo Bend?

I was wanting to get over there and take my son as well. Called a guide last week and he said the bait had not shown up yet and its not worth fishing. He wasn't sure if it will happen this year or not. Sure seems like the weather has been perfect to get them stacked up though.

I have always heard that when the water temp gets 50 or below they will move into that area. It's primarily because the shad stack up in there trying to keep from dying.

Extreme cold weather this week should kick start the activity. It was awesome a couple of years ago..... unbelievably good.
