Just woundering. Thinking of going down Saturday just for the hell of it. Not sure where to go or what to take or use. Lol. I got the gear. 2 electronic downriggers collecting dust. Or advice on smallmouth as well.

Some do use downriggers. Most are deadsticking or slow rolling jigs/flukes or sassys.

Mouth of big Mineral was spot last weekend. I saw one troller go by. Looked liked he was just trolling a sassy. I have a manual downrigger but have not installed plate on my latest boat. Not sure I will. Thinking of just selling it. Not sure what kind of boat you are in but might try dragging a bucket or sock to slow speed.

Thanks. Ya I rigged my nitro fish and ski got some special brackets online 2 years ago. Been working ok for now I will try to post a pic if I get it set up tomorrow. I just wanted a change of scenery. But running these two are really a two man job.
