I am new to the south DFW area and want to fish Lake Whitney. I just recently relocated from Lubbock where we fished Lake Alan Henry. There was only one public boat ramp there so it was easy to decide which ramp to use. I drove down to Whitney a few days ago to look around and get feel for the place and discovered multiple USACE parks with boat ramps. I looked at a few ramps and none were very busy on a Monday afternoon this time of the year, but I am sure they get very busy. I am just wondering which (if any) should be avoided or are the best to use.

McCown Park. It�s an Army Corps Park. Buy the $40 annual pass. Good for any Army Corps Park. Usually protected from the wind.
