Just froze and busted a pipe under the back deck. Heat tape and pipe wrap on it too. Gonna abandon that pipe to far end faucet and cap it way back on the other side of the house. We dont use that far end faucet and its on a dedicated pipe so you had to trickle it too and I didnt remember. So its gone. Been a PIA before so Im done with it.

Just shut the water off to a couple of "weekend houses" in our cove and called them. Both were under pier and beam and no water inside either. Neither had any heat on SMH

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Pretty sure my pipes will be hammered when I get out to Fork...heat tape and insulation are both in place but it got darned cold.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

I feel for you.. We have been out all day fixing broken pipes for our customers. Thank goodness all of them were pretty easy to access and didnt have to cut into any walls.

Just returned from my place on Fork. Unfortunately could not check my lines as all the main supply lines were frozen. I think it is going to be a real mess in my Park Home neighborhood when the weather warms up this weekend.

I left two radiator heaters running at the lake place and turned off the water. It got cold in Point Blank, but not like Rhome.

I went to mine for new years. De-winterized and then ran out of propane... bang. Monday morning everything was froze up and couldn't winterize it before I left. Heading back this weekend to check the damage.
