Fished 7 till 2 water temps from 46.5 to 53. caught Bass in 2' down to 18' best baits red Red eye shad lipless crank bait, Carolina rigged ol monster, TX rigged baby brush hog. stayed close to creek channels and points. had a small limit 0f 14.5 with largest 3.35 good luck and tight lines

46.5 that some pretty cold water. Wonder how much it'll drop if it drops into the 20's like they say Monday morning into Tuesday.

2010 shallow spots way up river had ice on them. Temps upper 30's low 40's in the lake. That was the last real cold winter I can remember

You've never fished Rayburn? Where are you launching? Which area? If interested I'll send some way points may help. No, i am in Oklahoma and never have fished it..i am going with a guy that has fished it a couple of times..i think we will launch on the south end of the lake,but not at the ramp that the BFL is coming out of..just want to catch some fish and have a good time..i would appreciate any help you can give me so we can maybe have a good trip..thank you..

Well, as always this time of year the water will be rattling with so many traps being thrown. You can always join them and you might catch a few. My bet is the offshore fish will be stacked if you find them but finicky if the waters are mid 40s. Maybe a jerk bait over the grass. We will probably be there, not in the bfl though. If there's a north wind I recommend you do NOT launch on the south end, go up to caney or Cassels Boykin.
