Glad you got to the appropriate facility and they were able to get you "repaired". Prayers for a full recovery.

Ernest, I know I share the feelings of all of us here at the forum in wishing you the best and speediest recovery. And definitely thanking God for you. Also thank you very much for that great advice. Sometimes we tend to think we are "bullet proof" and don't exercise proper caution when we need to. Sure glad you did.
Love the thump.

Glad to hear you are okay, fishing can always wait for our health. When a regular stops posting for awhile it does get noticed.

I had mine last year and agree, the prep made me throw up once. The procedure went without a hitch and I was out like a light anyway. Luckily, no polyps, etc found, so was told another 10 years (Thank the Lord).
Prayers with ya ole buddy. Finally made it to the slips this morning and caught a few keeps, but only 5 total. Was a beautiful morning before the chill returns Friday. My brother just this past year had diverticulitis diagnosed and had to have emergency colon surgery and have 6 inches of his that was infected removed. No fun.
Your bleeding issue sounds a lot like my gall bladder blowing up in me in 03' right after my son was born, during the Thanksgiving holiday. If not for my brave and driven wife, and the great doctors at Baylor Grapevine Medical Center, I'd been kissing some 'dirt' myself.
Glad you're OK and look forward to seeing ya soon, ole timer. Back on nights tonight, then outta town to the Hill Country Christmas through the rest of that week. See ya down at the Office soon.

When this first happened I was not sure if I should post it. So glad I did. Please be warned it is not nearly as rare as I first thought. Just in a group of ten on the office boat slip I found out that three have had the same problem.
Overall 11 cases from the forum members so far. One actual death from a family member.
Not trying to tell anyone not to get a colonoscopy (they could save your life) Just be very careful for a couple of weeks afterward. It seems most of the problems start about a week to 10 days after the procedure.
I'm starting to feel great, just still a bit weak. Will stay quiet for another week or so.

Thanks for the update Mr. Paty, glad to hear you are feeling better and will continue to take it easy. Continue to look forward to next spring when, hopefully, you will be back to doing what you enjoy the most.

Thanks for the important post to teach us something and thank goodness you are a smart man. Praise God for the answer to our prayers. Merry Christmas!
I told my boss I wouldn't be in today, I got my arm in a cast!!! ========================================================= I have spent most of my life fishing. . . the rest I've just wasted.
